Another place that you might want to see is the Goa Gajah Temple or Elephant Cave. This temple is carved out of the rock of a cave and the entrance to Goa Gajah is designed beautifully with ancient headpieces on top of the arch. If you wish to see something beautiful then you might want to check out the Tegalalang Rice Terraces. This place is testament to the resourcefulness of the Balinese. The ancient Balinese were able to carve the side of a hill to form rice terraces so that they could plant here and harvest the rice when the season is right. It is a beautiful sight and you’ll be able to visit it if you purchase one of those holiday packages.
If you want to know more about the culture of Bali then you might want to visit the Subak Museum. This museum showcases Bali’s traditional agricultural tools. Here you will see how the Balinese grow their crops, how they utilize irrigation and what kind of agricultural tools they have—from the traditional to the more modern ones.
